About Me
Shannon Eaton has lived in the Adirondacks for over ten years. It’s here that she and her husband, Tyler, founded Blue Pepper Farm, a thriving sheep dairy specializing in sheep milk yogurt, a business they actively run today.
Originally, Shannon graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in Psychology and Communications. Before her venture into the dairy farm business, she had a successful corporate career in client-centric roles at Maersk Line, a major world shipping company, working in offices from Atlanta to Singapore.
She moved to Jay, NY in 2009 where her family has deep roots and pivoted to farming and managing her bustling “farm stay” vacation rental. She is heavily engaged in the local food and farm scene, co-founded the Adirondack Fibershed, currently sits on the board at Little Peaks Preschool and was a former board member of Adirondack Harvest.
When she’s not out in her pastures, she can be found hiking, skiing, or splashing in the Au Sable River with her family and friends.
Shannon and Tyler have two children, Wyatt and Shep, and know all there is to know about raising kids in the Adirondacks! She’s a truly an amazing local resource, and can even help you with suggestions on managing your Adirondack rental spaces or even creating your own homestead.
